Meet the Staff

Learning Links staff members are qualified under the requirements from the State of Wisconsin and are CPR certified. Each teacher will meet the State guidelines for a background check and must participate in continuing education to expand their knowledge and understanding of child behaviors and development.

Owner/ Administrator

"My Name is Kristen Brost. I am the Owner of Learning Links. I opened the program in 2002. It is my goal to provide the Milwaukee German Immersion students with a fun and safe place before and after school. I have a Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Paraprofessional Degree. I also completed the Administrative Credential. I have been in the childcare field since 1991 and have experience working with children of all ages. "

Front Desk

Started in 2002.

Ms. Bridget is the Director of the center. Bridget is the main link between the center and the parents. She is located at the front desk and is here to assist with all family questions and concerns.

"My name is Bridget. I have been in the childcare field since 1999. I have experience working with children six weeks through 12 years old. I have been with Learning Links since the doors opened in 2002. I am the mother of a beautiful daughter, McKenna and the spunky son, Kaiden. I have maintained my childcare certification through the state of Wisconsin, as well as keeping current in CPR and continuing education courses. My job is very rewarding as I watch the children develop and grow throughout the years. I don't think of it as my job, but more as my second family. It is so fulfilling to see all the smiling faces which in turn puts a smile on my face every day! I feel not only lucky, but appreciate the opportunity to be part of the Learning Links staff."

Ms. Theresa is our teacher who works with children who are 6-12 years of age.

"My name is Theresa. I have been part of Learning Links since the first day when the program opened in 2002. During this time, I have worked with every age group. I have remained in the childcare field because I enjoy the special bonds that are created over the years with the children and watching them grow into their own individuals. The rewards and challenges of working with children is something I will cherish forever! Knowledge gained through childcare classes and continuing education has contributed to my understanding of how children grow and develop."

Ms Colleen is our 4& 5 year old teacher.

"I have worked with children since 2008. I find that the children I have worked with have taught me to slow my life down, and take time to smell the roses. I have an Associate Degree in Human Services and AODA counseling."

Ms. Brandy works with our 6-12 year old children.

" I have worked in early childhood for 13 years now, with that, I also engage with all students K3-5th grade. I've studied Early Childhood at West Allis (MATC). I have attended countless trainings through MPS to be more successful at serving the youth. I've been a part of the Learning Links team since 2018. Becoming a part of LL, I have discovered such a great place to work. Dedicated teachers and wonderful students. I have always had a passion working with children. I love kids. I daily give my best to help my students reach their fullest potential."

Mr. Josh works with our 6&7 year olds.

"I have an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from MATC and I’m 4 semesters away from obtaining my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I enjoy working with children because not only is everyday different but also every hour."
